The Supremes Discography -
Superstar Sweethearts

The Supremes discography maps the girls' rise from hitless to historic. When they allied with composers Holland-Dozier-Holland, they got the perfect showcases for their dewy, spirited style. Across country songs, show tunes, and the rougher R&B of fellow Motowners, these Supremes proved they had the stuff, and weren't just fluff.

When Jean Terrell replaced Diana Ross in 1970, Supremes albums remained pretty solid in sales and quality. Frank Wilson produced rich, distinctive tracks that helped these ladies stay relevant.

Alas, after Scherrie Payne took over as lead, musical diversity became lack of focus. Not even the Holland brothers could anchor the tracks with real substance.

The Supremes finally faded...but certainly not into obscurity.

I've organized these original and "new" Supremes albums by group name and/or lead singer.

For more tangible items you can organize yourself, find Supremes CDs here.
