Two Lovers, Six Motown Couples

Two caveats to that headline: There were far, far more than six Motown couples, and most sources insist that Marvin and Tammi were only working partners and friends.

Maybe that gives them an edge in this poll: They're a truly ideal pair because they weren't a real one.

Then again, it depends on your relationship priorities. For instance, affairs of business and love melded most famously for Diana and Berry. Ashford and Simpson gained renown as a musical duo, not separate talents. Smokey and Claudette started out as teenage sweethearts.

Whomever you choose, the most "aws" will have it!
