I used to think the first line of her hit, "Love's Gone Bad," went, "I feel a pounding in my brain." It might as well have. Her slightly scratchy vocal gusts sure do excite, rather than lull, the senses!

The second of two Chris Clark albums veered toward pop/rock remakes, probably because the first one didn't sell well. Neither one established her as a megawatt star, but those who did hear and love her were very conscious of her talents.
